At Roland Public Schools, they believe in the power of family. When one of their own needs support, their Roland Rangers come together with hearts full of kindness and strength.
Over the past several weeks, upper and lower elementary students joined together to raise funds for one of their classmates, a brave first grader who is currently battling cancer. These donations will help ease the burden of traveling several times each week for treatments.
The upper elementary raised $800, with Mrs. McKinney’s homeroom collecting the most, while the lower elementary raised an amazing $2,329.07, led by Mrs. Krohn’s class.
This was a wonderful opportunity for students to learn the true power of compassion, generosity and community. School administration said they are proud of their hearts and the way they show what it means to be part of the Roland family.
