Murchison expands Sci-Fi series with new releases, audio editions
A Family of Time, a fantasy/Science Fiction novel series
By AMIE CATO-REMER EDITOR

Robert E. Murchison, a local author of Sallisaw, continues to grow his fantasy and science fiction series, A Family of Time, a multi-book saga that follows a family from Heavener, chosen to become the first full family in space. The story begins in 1992 and follows the Ma c Mu r chaid family: father Robert, mother Denise, and children Tony, Troy, Kris, and Nicole, as they are selected by the “Universal Space Agency” for a groundb reaking mission. What begins as a publicized trip to the International Space Station turns into a secret lunar mission where the family is placed in hibernation and fed information directly to their brains. When they awaken over 455 years later, they must adapt to a transformed world while drawing on the knowledge implanted during their slumber.

The series, which combines speculative fiction with real-life historical space program details, explores themes of family, survival and humanity’s future among the stars.

Murchison, who self-publishes his work through Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), has released hardcover, paperback and e-book editions of A Family of Time books, 2-11. He is currently writing book 12 and producing audio editions of earlier installments.

According to Murchison, “The audio version of Series Book 5 is beginning production. I’ve also edited all the books of the series published through KDP and added hardcover versions. I’m hoping expanded availability and media outreach will help new readers discover the story.”

Audio versions of the series are also being developed through ACX and Amazon, with narrators selected by Murchison himself.

“The narrator has done a fine job so far,” he said, adding that he hopes to continue working with the same voice talent for future books.

An AI-narrated version of the first book, published by Van Rye, is already available on Amazon. Interested readers can listen to a sample or purchase the audiobook at https:// www.amazon.com/dp/ B0FF63XBD6.

Fans can follow updates and behind-thescenes posts about the series on Instagram at instagram.com/afamilyoftime93.
