Jesus Christ! God’s Way…Eternal Life

Jesus Christ! God’s Way…Eternal Life
By Shirley R. Watts

Let me explain.

The Holy Spirit of God will impress upon your heart when you hear His word in a sermon, through a friend or you may read it in the Bible and you will be convicted of sin. You will see yourself as God sees you. You will submit to Him or you will reject Him. It is up to you.

You admit to God that you have sinned against Him. Disobedience!

What is sin? It is doing what God has said not to do. It is breaking the Creator’s rules.

Romans 3:23

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

So, who are the sinners? A sinner is every person who was born after Adam. When Adam disobeyed God, he sinned against God. So, all who were born are lost and a sinner. Because of what Adam done, you are lost and can only be saved through Jesus Christ. Jesus came to live and die on the cross in your place so that you have the opportunity to be saved. He is the only way to Heaven. There had to be a blood sacrifice for sin to please God and He was the perfect sacrifice.

Romans 5:12

“Therefore, as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death throughsin;andsodeath passed unto all men, for that all sinned:(This means that death has passed upon every person).

God said that if you want to come back to Him, you must repent and accept His Son Jesus Christ. This is for each person. It is very personal.

No one can make this decision for you. No family member! It is your decision. Jesus is the only way you can have forgiveness of your sins. (sin is breaking God’s laws. Sin is that which does not conform to the glory of God..

God says I love you so much, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16 I will send My Son to make it possible for men, women and children to be saved.

Now, because Jesus died on the cross you can have forgiveness of all your sins and because He was raised from the dead, you can have eternal life. This means you have a home in Heaven forever. If you believe in your heart that He died in your place, and that He was raised on the third day and today He is in Heaven with God the Father.

Romans 10:9

“That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shall believe in your heart, that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”

Jesus made it possible for every person to be saved and that includes you! You do not have to remain lost. God sent us the road map back to Himself…His Son! Place your faith (trust) in Him today.

Romans 5:8

“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

He loved you even when you didn’t love Him and you were disobedient. He provided salvation for you…if you want to accept it. It is free!

To remain lost is not good! It means if you do not accept Jesus, then you will suffer eternal punishment, eternally separated from God and that is terrible. Imagine spending eternity in hell where all the evil that man can do, will be done forever (Rev. 20:11-15).

Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

“Death” means you will be separated from God forever.

“Gift” of life is Jesus Christ “Eternal life” Live with Jesus forever.

Only when you believe that the only way to please God is accepting His Son Jesus Christ… you can be saved!

Romans 10:13

“Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Jesus said: “You must be born again” (John 3) and “I am the way” (John 14:6).

He will return! Be saved today!
