Funeral services for Evelynn McCormack, 91, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. McCormack was born on April 1, 1934, in Huntsville, Ark., to Lillie Lee Jean (Ingram) McClain and Clyde Otto McClain. She died on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025.
She married Millard W. McCormack on July 31, 1953.
In 1979, they moved to Sallisaw and purchased the Sears Catalog Store, selling the franchise in 1988. She was a founding member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of Sallisaw.
Survivors are her husband, Millard of the home; son, Mark McCormack and wife Linda of Muldrow; daughter, Susan Chandler and husband David of Sallisaw; six grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Phyllis Judkins, Wanda Machielson, Deanie Myers and Pam Graham; brother, Thomas McClain, Sr.; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Carolyn, Thurman and Donald McClain.
Pallbearers were Keith Chandler, Davin Chandler, Daniel McCormack, Matthew McCormack, Chad Mynahan and Tyler Mynahan.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark McCormack Sr., David Chandler and Tom McClain Sr.
