Ellen English, 75, of Lake Tenkiller, died on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, in Roland. She was born on June 1, 1950, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Lawrence B. Whitaker and Betty (Haug) Woodman.
Interment will be held at a later date in Clayville, N.Y. Arrangements are under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
She was a Franchise Office Manager for Mc-Donalds, a lifelong member of the Girl Scouts and served as song leader at her church.
She married Don English on April 18, 1975, in Clayville.
Survivors include her husband, Don of the home; two sons, Don and Lydia English of Lake Tenkiller and Kevin English of Waterville, N.Y.; two daughters, Melissa and Jamie Clarey of New Hartford, N.Y. and Amanda and Kevin Williams of Galavant Prairie, S.C.; one brother, Bill and Jean Whitaker of Healdsburg, Calif.; five sisters, Rev. Meri Whitaker, Pattie Brauer and Melani and James Davis. all of Vian, Lauri Whitaker-Gassaway of Hulbert, and Elsie Welch of Welch; 16 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Wendy Kierpiec; and three grandchildren.
