Funeral services for Shirley Ann Pettigrew, 88, of Fort Smith, Ark. were held at 1 p.m. Friday Oct. 17, 2025, at Woodland Hills Church in Roland. Burial followed at Seabolt Cemetery at Nicut under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren, Ark.
Mrs. Pettigrew was born on Aug. 2, 1937, in Paris, Ark., to Dave and Edith (Pettigrew) Bideler. She passed away on Wednesday Oct. 8, 2025.
She worked for Cintas. Survivors are her husband of 69 years and 11 months, Tom Pettigrew; two daughters, Rebekah Armer and husband Rick, and Edith Justice, all of Fort Smith; three sons, Tommy Pettigrew and wife Rita of Huntington, Steven Pettigrew of Fort Smith and Scott Pettigrew and his wife Heather of Booneville; two sisters, Billie Riley of Muldrow and Shannon Robertson and husband Phillip of Roland; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two on the way; and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Aaron, Jeremy and Cayden Ruckman, Zachary Strong, Henry, Dalton and Andrew Pettigrew and Ben Dunlap.
