Kozie Quilters award Quilts of Valor to eight local veterans

The Kozie Quilters of Sequoyah County hosted a Quilts of Valor presentation on Oct. 1, at Trinity Methodist Church, east of Muldrow on Hwy. 64. Eight veterans were each recognized for their service to our great country. Family and friends were present to witness the ceremony. Veterans honored were (from left) Larry Allen, Rose Allen, Robert Allen, Stanley Collins, Merrill Deck, Dennis Fowler, John Harvell and Johnny Watkins. The Kozie Quilters welcome new members who enjoy sewing, quilting, learning and sharing ideas.
