Central, Brushy girls win team titles at Spiro Invitational; several locals medal

SPIRO — The Central Lady Tigers won the high school girls team title and the Brushy Lady Mountaineers claimed the junior high girls team championship at the Spiro Invitational, which took place Sept. 30.

In the high school girls’ division, the Lady Tigers won the meet with 40 points, finishing ahead of runner-up Heavener (77 points) and third-place Roland (86).

For the Lady Tigers, Sara Williams was runner- up (13:08.72), Sadie Huff was fifth (14:25.8), Cambree Bair was sixth (14:35.42), Paris Campbell was 13th (15:24.22), Scarlett Harrison was 14th (15:40.75) and Xhayla Mosby was 15th (15:58.83).

Two other local runners made the top four as Muldrow’s Tiphany Martinez was third (13:56.66) and Roland’s Molly Carver was fourth (14:14.78) to earn medals.

A lso earning a medal was Muldrow’s Emma Fields, who was ninth (15:00.59).

As for other local runners, Roland’s Cadence Cole was 16th (16:26.6), Roland’s Landyn Ramey was 21st (17:01.78), Muldrow’s Isabelle Rogers was 22nd (17:02.84), Roland’s Abby Bower was 27th (18:20.12) and Roland’s Madison Hall was 30th (19:42.95).

In the high school boys’ division, the Muldrow Bulldogs were second (56 points) and the Roland Rangers were third (76), both fishing behind team champion Heavener (18).

Five local boys made the top 15 to earn medals. Muldrow’s Jesse Kilinc was fifth (18:32.62), Muldrow’s Seth Nance was seventh (18:57.81), Roland’s Hunter Lowe was 11th (19:45.82), Muldrow’s Brody Israel was 12th (19:48.12) and Roland’s Dylan Lowe was 13th (20:36.76).

As for other locals, Muldrow’s Parker McLane was 16th (20:50.17), Roland’s Brett Mauldin was 21st (21:38.51), Roland’s Tucker Tanksleary was 32nd (23:55.53), Roland’s Rayen Tally was 40th (26:20.84), Muldrow’s Cy Bradbury was 41st (26:35.76), Muldrow’s Avos Denny was 45th (29:25.72) and Muldrow’s Parker Sevenstar was 46th (32:25.17).

In the junior high boys’ division, the Roland Rangers were sixth (107), finishing behind the team champion and host Spiro Bulldogs (26), Panama (58), Heavener (87), Hodgen (89) and Gore (100).

Two local runners medaled by placing in the top 15. Central’s Caden Bair was ninth (13:34.92), while Roland’s Andrew Escobar was 14th (14:13.73).

As for other locals, Central’s Koleman Edwards was 28th (15:45.23), Central’s Zander Moldrup was 32nd (16:08.77), Roland’s Greyson Corderman was 35th (16:24.37), Roland’s Silas Kling was 39th (17:14.64) and Roland’s Kash Earnhart was 40th (17:14.86).

The Lady Mountaineers claimed the top spot in the team standings in the junior high girls’ division with 45 points, finishing ahead of host Spiro (74 points), Panama (97), Porum (100) and Central (103).

The Lady Mountaineers had four runners make the top 15 to earn medals. Peyton Campbell was fourth (12:07.5), Elizabeth Fleetwood was fifth (12:11.11), Avie Lamp was eighth (12:29.5) and Hayley Bentley was 13th (13:06.24).

As for other Lady Mountaineers, Lily McInerney was 20th (13:32.31), Jaden Fleetwood was 25th (13:59.95) and Addisyn Young was 42nd (15:23.96).

Two Central runners medaled as Scotti Wilson was 12th (12:34.37) and Sailor Bauer was 15th (13:12.76).

As for other local JH girls runners, Central’s Bryar Goodson was 19th (13:25.63), Central’s Graye Riggs was 28th (14:09.87), Roland’s Marley Bonner was 31st (14:35.85) and Central’s Olivia Blalock was 36th (14:45.59).
