Roland Lady Ranger runner second at Wister Invitational; local runners medal; Brushy girls win JH team title

WISTER — Roland Lady Rangers cross country runner Molly Carver was runner-up in the 2025 Wister Invitational, which took place Sept. 22, with a time of 11:31.

Carver’s teammate, Cadence Cole, like Carver, also earned a medal with a 13th-place finish (13:56).

As for other Lady Rangers, Abby Bower was 25th (16:54), Landyn Ramey was 29th (17:33) and Madison Hall was 31st (18:12).

As a team, the Lady Rangers were third with 52 points, finishing behind team champion Heavener (32 points) and Panama (46).

Three Muldrow Lady Bulldogs also earned medals with top-20 finishes.

Tiphany Martinez was fourth (12:11), Emma Fields was 10th (13:13) and Isabelle Rogers was 18th (15:16).

In the high school boys’ division, the Bulldogs were runners-up with 59 points as the Heavener Wolves won the team title with 17 points.

Three ’Dogs finished in the top 20 to earn medals as Jesse Kilinc was eighth (19:01), Brody Israel was ninth (19:14) and Parker McLane was 17th (20:25).

As for other Bulldogs, Cy Bradbury was 53rd (29:24), Avos Denny was 56th (32:58) and Parker Sevenstar was 57th (35:39).

The Roland Rangers had four runners in the meet.

Hunter Lowe was 16th (20:23), Dylan Lowe was 22nd (21:18), Brett Mauldin was 28th (22:43) and Rayen Tally was 50th (28:24).

In the junior high girls’ division, the Brushy Lady Mountaineers won the team title with 51 points, with Poteau a distant second (70 points).

For the Lady Mountaineers, Avie Lamp was runner-up (10:37), Peyton Campbell was fourth (10:48), Hayley Bentley was 10th (11:13) and Lily McInerney was 16th (11:45) to all earn medals for finishing in the top 20.

As for other Brushy girls runners, Jaden Fleetwood was 22nd (12:08), Elizabeth Fleetwood was 29th (12:33) and Addisyn Young was 42nd (13:15).

In the junior high boys’ division, Brushy’s Bronson Camacho was 17th (10:19) to also earn a medal for a top-20 finish.
