RED OAK — The 2025 fast-pitch softball season came to a conclusion for the Gans Lady Grizzlies on Thursday at the Class B District Tournament as they were swept by districthost Red Oak by scores of 16-0 in three innings and 15-0 in three innings.
The Lady Grizzlies, whose regular-season finale against McCurtain on Sept. 23 was canceled due to the Lady Bulldogs starting their Class B District Tournament that day, ended the season at 2-14.
In the district opener, Red Oak pitching no-hit the Lady Grizzlies.
The Lady Eagles put the game into run-rule status in the opening inning as they scored all 16 runs in that frame.
Abigail Leach (2-11) suffered the loss.
In the district-clinching win for the Lady Eagles, Red Oak scored three runs in the first inning and 12 runs in the second inning to put the game into run-rule status.
The Lady Grizzlies only could muster a single by Remi Hughes. Nora Barnea (0-3) suffered the loss.
