The Central Lady Tigers ended last week with a come-from-behind 11-8 victory over the Vian Lady Wolverines on Thursday at home.
The week began with a 9-2 District 2A-12 road loss to Colcord on Sept. 16 after having the Sept. 15 game with Muldrow canceled.
In the win over Vian, the Lady Tigers (4-15), who trailed 8-0 in the fourth inning, scored four runs in the fourth inning, five runs in the fifth inning and twice in the sixth inning to complete the comeback win.
For the game, Sadie Huff was 4-for-4 with a double, three runs batted in and a run scored, Alyvia Warner was 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored, Jhaselyn Gonzalez was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, Brenleigh Allen was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored and Keeley Poindexter was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI.
Addison Howard (410) got the win, getting three strikeouts in seven innings.
In the district loss to Colcord, the Lady Tigers (1-5 in District 2A-12 play) took a 2-1 lead in the third inning of their district road game, only to see the Lady Hornets tie the game in the third inning and take the lead for good with a fourrun fourth inning and a three-run sixth inning.
In defeat, Warner and Gonzalez were each 2-for-4 with a run scored, Brianna Taylor was 2-for-3 and Allen and Charlie Petree each doubled with an RBI for Central.
Howard suffered the loss, although she recorded two strikeouts in six innings.
After the Lady Tigers entertained Leflore on Monday, they will begin postseason play in the Class 2A Regional Tournament on Thursday in Panama. The exact game times and match-ups were not known as of press time.
