POTEAU — Roland and Muldrow all had cross country runners who participated in the Poteau Invitational on Aug. 29.
On the girls’ side, Roland’s Molly Carver was the meet individual runner-up with a time of 14:24.5, while Muldrow’s Tiphany Martinez was fifth (14:32.8).
Muldrow’s Emma Fields was 10th (14:52.3), while teammate Genna Stephenson was 12th (15:17.7). The top 15 runners received medals.
As for other local girls, Roland’s Cadence Cole was 21st (17:07.8), Muldrow’s Isabelle Rogers was 28th (17:57.7), Roland’s Landyn Ramey was 29th (18:05.9), Roland’s Abby Bower was 33rd (19:29.7), Roland’s Madison Hall was 37th (20:48.5), Roland’s Anastasia Hammock was 44th (22:24.2) and Roland’s Anistyn Howard was 45th (22:27).
In team standings, the Lady Rangers were fourth (75 points), finishing behind champion Heavener (38 points), Seqouyah-Tahlequah (49) and Wister (59).
In the boys’ division, Muldrow’s Jesse Kilinc was the only local medalist as he was 15th (20:26.4).
As for other local boys, Roland’s Hunter Lowe was 32nd (22:30.4), Roland’s Dylan Lowe was 34th (22:50.7), Muldrow’s Parker McLane was 38th (23:16.5), Roland’s Tommie Greschke was 44th (24:19.6), Roland’s Brett Mauldin was 49th (24:54.6), Muldrow’s Averyn Dumas was 64th (29:10.1), Muldrow’s Cy Bradbury was 68th (33:13.9), Muldrow’s Avos Denny was 70th (34:41.9), Muldrow’s Parker Sevenstar was 71st (35:00.6) and Muldrow’s Seth Nance was 72nd (36:38.6).
As a team the Bulldogs were fifth with 134 points, finishing behind team champion Sequoyah-Tahlequah (19 points), Poteau (57), Heavener (68) and Stilwell (98).
