STIGLER — It was a rough stay at the 2025 Riverside Conference Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament for the Gans Lady Grizzlies as they lost both of their Day 1 games on Thursday to be eliminated from the tournament as they lost 16-0 to Gore and 9-3 to Arkoma.
Gans lost 12-0 to Porum on Aug. 29 and fell 15-1 to Leflore on Sept. 2.
In the loss to Gore, Gore’s pitching tandem of Cheyenne Davidson and Kennedy Williams combined to one-hit the Lady Grizzlies (0-10), whose only hit was Maria Silos’ two-out single in the second inning.
Nora Barnea (0-2) suffered the loss, getting two strikeouts in two innings.
In the loss to Arkoma, after the Lady Grizzlies took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Lady Mustangs scored twice in the first inning and seven runs in the second inning for a 9-1 lead after two innings.
In defeat, Taylor Barger doubled with two runs scored and a run batted in, Audrie Moody singled with an RBI and Barnea singled and scored once for Gans.
Barnea took the loss, although she recorded two strikeouts in three innings.
In the loss to Leflore, the Lady Savages, whose pitcher Leah Lloyd nohit the Lady Grizzlies, scored six runs in the first inning, then put the game into-run-rule status with an eight-run second inning and a run in the third inning.
Abigail Leach (0-8) took the loss, getting two strikeouts in 1.1 innings. Barnea went the final 1.2 innings.
In the loss to Porum, Porum pitcher Mesa Coulson two-hit the Lady Grizzlies, who fell behind 7-0 after an inning.
In defeat, Leach and Silos each singled for Gans.
Leach suffered the loss, although she struck out two batters in 2.2 innings.
