A former Sallisaw resident who now lives in Muldrow could face up to 25 years or more in prison if found guilty of a lewd molestation charge in Sequoyah County District Court, according to a probable cause affidavit filed on August 13.
Zachary L. Flock, 43, is also facing a felony charge of sodomy-victim under the age of 16 years, which is punishable by imprisonment in the custody of the Department of Corrections for up to 20 years, if found guilty.
He is now scheduled for a September 24 felony disposition docket before Associate District Judge Kyle Waters.
Muldrow Police officer Ricci Pyle reported on Aug. 4 that she met with the victim and a family member of the victim in regards to Flock sexually abusing the victim, who is under the age of 16. The family member told Pyle that Flock was a registered sex offender and was on probation, according to the affidavit.
The victim reportedly disclosed to the family member that Flock had allegedly been sexually assaulting them over the past five years, multiple times, while they were staying at residences in both Sallisaw and Muldrow. The victim said the last incident occurred just before Christmas 2024, at Flock’s residence in Muldrow.
Flock agreed to meet with Pyle for an interview on Aug. 7. When questioned if he had any inappropriate contact with the victim, Flock reportedly told the officer that he’d woken up one morning with his hand on the victim’s private parts, but it was while the victim was clothed.
Flock then confessed that he’d been abusing the victim for the past year and that he’d been inappropriate with the victim multiple times, while they were both unclothed. He said this had occurred at his home every weekend since he’d moved to Muldrow, according to the affidavit.
Flock was then placed under arrest and transported to the Sequoyah County Detention Center.
Court records show Flock pled guilty and was convicted of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 in Sequoyah County District Court in February 2022.
