Former Muldrow Bulldog/ESU Hornets win season opener

EMPORIA, Kan. — Former Muldrow Bulldog Trenden Collins and the Emporia State University Hornets won their season opener Thursday night, beating Minot (N.D.) State 27-7 at Welch Stadium.

Collins caught two passes for 22 yards in his season debut Thursday night.

The Hornets (1-0) will return to action next Saturday night with a road game against Angelo State in San Angelo, Texas.
