The Roland Lady Rangers opened the first week of the 2025 fastpitch softball season at 3-2.

After having their opening-day games in the Sequoyah-Tahlequah Festival canceled on Aug. 11, the Lady Rangers ended up opening their season with a 13-2 road District 3A-6 romp of the host Spiro Lady Bulldogs on Aug. 11.

On Thursday, the Lady Rangers fell 8-2 to Panama in their home opener.

After the Lady Bulldogs cut their deficit to 6-1 after three innings, the Lady Rangers put away the game with a pair of two-run innings in the fifth and sixth innings for a 10-1 lead. A threerun seventh inning iced the contest.

For the game, Lillian Cole was 4-for-5 with two doubles, three runs batted in and a run scored, Paisley Davis was 3-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored, Kyleigh Knapp was 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a run scored, Adriana Moya was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI for Roland.

In the loss to Panama, the Lady Razorbacks rallied from a 2-1 deficit with a seven-run fifth inning.

In defeat, Davis doubled, while Adriana Moya and Addyson Clark singled for Roland. Cooper took the loss, getting two strikeouts in seven innings.

In the win over Muldrow, the Lady Rangers broke a 7-all tie on Davis’ two-out, RBI double in the fifth inning.
