Oklahoma 529, Upromise offer chance to win $1,000 toward college savings

Continuing its 25th anniversary celebration, Oklahoma 529 has partnered with Upromise to give Oklahoma families three opportunities to help grow their college savings account by making everyday purchases.

“The scholarship giveaway, paired with Upromise rewards from everyday purchases, offers families an extra boost in growing their education savings,” Oklahoma State Treasurer Todd Russ said. “As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, this opportunity helps current account holders build even more momentum—and gives new savers a strong start on their journey to invest in their child’s future.”

Upromise is a free rewards platform that offers cash-back rewards for everyday activities. Rewards are transferred as contributions to an Oklahoma 529 account. Members can earn rewards by shopping online at major retailers, uploading receipts from in-store grocery purchases, dining at restaurants, playing mobile games, completing surveys and more. Upromise is free and easy to join. Learn more at https://www.oklahoma529. com/program/ upromise/.

During the month of August, one Oklahoma 529 account holder will have a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship contribution when they link their Oklahoma 529 to a Upromise account. Two additional sweepstakes winners will receive a $529 contribution.1 The scholarship giveaway is open to both new and existing Oklahoma 529 account holders. To participate, account holders can link their Oklahoma 529 account to either a new or existing Upromise account. Every $1 in cash back reward earned through Upromise in August increases a participant’s chance to win.
