Wine enthusiasts can now explore Oklahoma’s wineries with greater ease and flexibility, thanks to a major update to the Oklahoma Wine Trails app. The app’s new digital check-in feature replaces the need for physical passports, allowing users to track their progress and earn rewards directly from their smartphones.
This update focuses on user-friendly features including adjusted regional trail routes and the addition of several new wineries from across the state. While paper passports remain valid, the digital version streamlines the process with up-to-date maps and real-time location details, making it easier than ever to discover local wine destinations.
“The new app update will make exploring our Oklahoma wineries easier and more interactive for tourists and enthusiasts alike,” said Madi Franklin, Oklahoma Viticulture & Enology Coordinator. “We hope the addition of new producers, accessible trail routes, and interactive check-ins will incentivize more people to continue to explore our developing wine regions.”
The Oklahoma Wine Trails include nine curated routes organized by region, each featuring three to six wineries. Users can now earn digital badges, collect points, and receive prizes as they check in along the way. Existing paper passports are still being honored, and updated printed versions will be available soon.
