Funeral services for Frances (Hixson) Mc-Cleod Ballard, 83, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at The First Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow. Burial followed at Memory Garden Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Ballard was born on Oct. 10, 1941, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Mary Joanna (Wiltshire) Hixson and Dave Luther Hixson. She passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, in Tahlequah.
She married Rev. Charles George Ballard on July 14, 2007, in Muldrow.
She was an LPN and lifelong member of The First Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow.
Survivors are her husband, Rev. Charles Ballard of the home; daughter, Cathy Brown and Gil of Tahlequah; two sons, Dave McCleod of Perry and Mark McCleod and Teresa of Muldrow; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; three sisters, Lynda Bailey of Owasso, and Judy Faulkner and Mary Smith, both of Muldrow; two brothers, Jerry Hixson and Kenny Hixson, both of Muldrow; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Steve McCleod.
Pallbearers were Dave McCleod, Mark McCleod, Joshua McCleod, Stephen McCleod, Jacob Mc-Cleod and Raven McCleod.
Honorary pallbearers were her nephews.
