Funeral services for Laraine Hood, 68, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at United Faith Church in Sallisaw.
Burial followed at Pope Chapel Cemetery in Warner under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Ms. Hood was born on May 6, 1957, in Fort Hood, Texas, to Jackie Hood Sr. and Wanda Lee (Hughart) Hood. She died on Monday, June 23, 2025.
She worked for Sequoyah Memorial Hospital for over 23 years, enjoyed doing puzzles, and was a gifted piano player and singer.
Survivors are two daughters, Kari Miller of the home and Katrina Armstrong and husband Jack of Sallisaw; two siblings, Jackie Hood Jr. and wife Barbara, and Teresa Hood, all of Warner; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, James and Clara Hughart and James and Ada Hood.
Pallbearers were Jack Armstrong Jr., Fred Christopher, Troy Horn, Jerry Horn, Austin Carrigan and Poncho Mendiola.
