Funeral services for Ethel Mae Curry Mc-Clure, 84, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Drakestand Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Services, Inc.
Mrs. McClure was born on Nov. 6, 1940, in Sallisaw, to Ida (Long) Curry and John Curry. She passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025.
She was married to Connie O. McClure on March 21, 1961.
She worked as a cook at Tommie Spear Middle School.
Survivors are a daughter, Tammy Hale and Jerry of Sallisaw; son, Johnny McClure and Shannon of Hackett, Ark.; seven grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; sister, Florence A. Thomas and Herbert of Brushy; brother, Roy Curry and Hope of Yukon; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Mark McClure; her parents; four brothers, Raymond, Jimmy, Leroy “Peewee”, and Thomas Curry; and two sisters, Maggie Lockhart and Eva J. Lowe.
Pallbearers were Dereck Hale, Cody Hale, Eddie Curry, Dennis Thomas, Jerry Hale and Johnny Mc-Clure.
