Graveside service for Katharina Martin, 94, of Muldrow, was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Martin was born on July 28, 1930, in Munich, Germany, to Maria (Meier) Michael and Ludwig Michael. She passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Sallisaw.
She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and solving puzzles.
Survivors are three daughters, Margie Avlos Barnes and Terry of Roland, Maria Wolf and Bill of Muldrow and Ruthie “Marty” Taylor of Alma, Ark.; a son, Steve Martin of Fort Smith, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five greatgreat-grandchildren; sister, Maria Liebhaber of Munich; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Karen Jackson; son, Joseph Ludwig Martin; two great-grandchildren, Brecken Cook and Joshua Michael Martin; and two sisters, Luise Schick and Ilse Gusscutt.
Pallbearers were Bill Wolf, Dougie Martin, Leslie Martin, Chad Letlow, Willie Wolf and Kalaeb Wolf.
