Commissioners approve appointments, transfers
By LYNN ADAMS SPECIAL TO THE REGISTER

The Sequoyah County Commissioners at their weekly Monday meeting approved appointments of:

• Rich Russell and Julie Haywood as requisitioning officers to the Redland Fire Department

• Bill Gemmell and Pat Plank as receiving officers for the Redland Fire Department

• Mark Brunk as tax board member and Hunter King as alternate for Redland Fire Department

• Pat Forslund and Julie Haywood as purchasing agents for Gans Volunteer Fire Department

• Jackie Owens and Rodney Jeremiah as receiving agents for Gans Volunteer Fire Department

• Darron Johnson and Julie Haywood as purchasing agents for Lee Creek Volunteer Fire Department

• Mike Waters and Charles Cox as receiving agents for Lee Creek Volunteer Fire Department

• Darron Johnson and Larry Armer as tax board representatives for Lee Creek Volunteer Fire Department • Brett Vann as sales tax board member and Heath Sharp as alternate for Maple Fire Department

• Julie Haywood and Gary Schaefer as requisitioning agents for Maple Fire Department

• Brett Vann and Heath Sharp as receiving agents for Maple Fire Department

• Luke Tucker as tax board member and Rodney Chambers as alternate for Liberty Volunteer Fire Department

• Julie Haywood and Dave Richards as purchasing agents for Liberty Volunteer Fire Department

• Matthew Henson as receiving agent and Luke Tucker as alternate for Liberty Volunteer Fire Department The commissioners also approved the transfer of appropriations from:

• District 3 maintenance and operations to District 3 capital outlay in the amount of $140,000

• General government personal service to general government FICA in the amount of $8,000

• Commissioners travel to general government retirement in the amount of $30,000

• Commissioners travel to general government insurance in the amount of $30,000 The commissioners also approved:

• Declaring a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado from the Sequoyah County Sheriff ’s Office as surplus, and to be sold to the Sallisaw Police Department for $25,000
