Rangeland team is state runner-up
The Roland FFA Rangeland team placed as state runner-up at the OSU State Career Development Event held in Stillwater. The team also placed 10th at the National Rangeland Event at El Reno. Team members are required to identify grasses, forbs, legumes and woody plants, evaluate fields for beef and quail production, and make management recommendations to meet a landowner’s objectives. Team members are (from left) Garrett Clark, J.P. Peters, Miguel Chavez-Trammell and Gavin Oliver. Miguel was also the state individual champion and received a $1,000 scholarship from the Noble Foundation in Ardmore.
