The District 27 District Attorney’s Office has a new First Assistant District Attorney.
Richard Incremona began his legal career as a law clerk with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office in Freehold, N.J. He held many positions and titles over his career in that office, including Deputy Trial Team Leader, Director of Special Operations, Director of Major Crimes, Executive Prosecutor, Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor, and ultimately, First Assistant Prosecutor.
During his time in that Prosecutor’s Office, he had varied responsibilities that included supervising investigative prosecutors, prosecutor’s office detectives, the county SWAT team, officer-involved shooting investigations, homicide investigations, and other duties.
Ultimately, he managed the entire office, its non-law enforcement and law enforcement employees, and its four facilities as First Assistant, while maintaining a trial list before leaving for private practice, where he specialized in criminal defense and administrative and criminal defense of police officers.
Incremona and his family moved to Oklahoma from New Jersey in the fall of 2021. After moving to Oklahoma, Incremona worked at the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, where he served as an Assistant Attorney General. He began at the Attorney General’s Office as a member of the Multi-County Grand Jury Unit in February of 2022.
He was later reassigned and became an original member of the Organized Crime Task Force, which focuses on the interdiction of illegal marijuana grows. As part of that office, he appeared and prosecuted cases in multiple counties across Oklahoma.
“We are thrilled to have a prosecutor with his level of experience join District 27,” District 27 District Attorney Jack Thorp said. “The residents of District 27 will be well served with Richard Incremona assuming the role of First Assistant.”
