Muldrow Lady Bulldogs go 1-3 in Fort Gibson Tournament

FORT GIBSON — The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs went 1-3 in last week’s Fort Gibson Tournament, which took place March 31 and April 1.

The lone win was an 18-3, three-inning, runrule rout of Morris on March 31 before losing 12-4 to Warner later in the day. On April 1, the Lady Bulldogs lost 14-2 in three innings to the host Lady Tigers and 14-3 to Pryor in four innings.

In the win over Morris, In the win over Morris, the Lady Bulldogs (3-5) put away the game with a 10-run first inning.

For the contest, Amarie Duran was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two runs scored, Amaya Duran was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs batted in and two runs scored, Riah Keenan was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and two run scored and Jaydin Dean doubled with two RBIs and a run scored for Muldrow. Dean (3-5) got the win.

In the loss to Warner, the Lady Eagles, who saw the Lady Bulldogs cut their deficit to 7-4 with a run in the sixth inning, put the game into run-rule status with a five-run sixth inning.

In defeat, Dean was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored, Kaydence Young was 2-for-3 with her first home run of the season and two runs batted in, Reagan Newbern was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Eve Keenan was 2-for-3 with a run scored, KeyLee Thompson was 2-for-3 and Danica Tune doubled with two RBIs for Muldrow.

Dean took the loss, despite recording three strikeouts in 5.1 innings.

In the loss to host Fort Gibson, the Lady Tigers broke a 2-all tie with a 10-run second inning and a two-run third inning to put the game into run-rule status.

In defeat, Tune was 2-for-2 with a triple and an RBI, Young was 2-for-2 and Amaya Duran doubled and Maddie Williams doubled with an RBI for Muldrow. Dean suffered the loss.

In the loss to Pryor, after the Lady Bulldogs scored three runs in the first inning for a 3-0 lead, the Lady Tigers scored once in the first inning, seven runs in the second inning and six runs in the third inning for a 14-3 lead to put the game into runrule status.

In defeat, Tune tripled and scored once, while Amarie Duran doubled and scored for Muldrow. Dean took the loss.

The Lady Bulldogs had their Thursday home game against Central rained out. It has not been rescheduled as of press time.
