Mother Nature rains on local golfers’ parades last week

Mother Nature was the big winner on the golf courses last week as she rained out three events.

Last Wednesday’s Tahlequah Girls Invitational for the Muldrow Lady Bulldogs and the Roland Lady Rangers was rained out and has not been rescheduled as of press time.

The Lady Bulldogs and ’Dogs were to have golfed in last Thursday’s Heavener Invitational at Wolf Mountain Country Club west of Poteau, but it got rained out and rescheduled for 9 a.m. April 21.

The Bulldogs were rained out on Thursday, when they were to have played in the Wagoner Boys Invitational at Sequoyah State Park Golf Course. The event has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. this Friday.

As for other golf action this week, the Bulldogs and the Roland Rangers will golf in the Stigler Boys Invitational beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday at Brier Creek Golf Course.
