EMPORIA, Kan. — Former Muldrow Bulldog track athlete Trenden Collins has placed in both of the first two meets of the outdoor track season for the Emporia State University Hornets.
In the Emporia State Relays that took place March 27-29 at Welch Stadium, Collins placed fifth in the high jump (6-7).
As a team, the Hornets finished runnersup with 99 points, coming in 12.5 points behind champion Wichita State (111.5 points).
At the Midwest Classic that took place on Friday at Welch Stadium, Collins was third in the high jump (6-6.75).
As a team, the Hornets were third with 89 points, finishing behind team champion Fort Hays State, Kan. (100 points) and Washburn University (97).
Collins and the ESU track teams will return to action in the threeday K.T. Woodman Invitational, which will take place Thursday through Saturday in Wichita, Kan.
