FORT GIBSON — The Central High School track teams got their seasons underway at the Fort Gibson Invitational, which took place March 28.
On the boys’ side, the Tigers placed sixth as a team with 32 points.
Individually for the Tigers, Gavin Randolph had the best finish as he was third in the 400-meter dash (54.73 seconds), with Noah Buzzard fifth (57.06), Cale Stewart was 14th (1:02) and Aiden Cawhorn was 17th (1:02.97).
Braxin Goodson was fourth in the 400-meter dash (44.84), while Randolph was seventh (25.44 seconds), Aidan Sainer was 12th (26.49) and Cawhorn was 18th (27.58) in the 300-meter hurdles.
Goodson was ninth (2:17.13), Buzzard was 10th (2:18.87) and Stewart was 17th (2:35.55) in the 800-meter run, while Jake Woods was 15th (12.92 seconds), Sainer was 25th (13.59) and Brycen Chandler-Eisman was 28th (14.07) in the 200-meter run.
Two relay teams placed for the Tigers as Randolph, Buzzard, Dillon Miller and Goodson were second in the 1,600-meter relay (3:43.14), while Randolph, Jake Woods, Miller and Goodson were fifth in the 800-meter relay (1:40.48).
The Lady Tigers scored 32 points to finish eighth.
Individually for the Lady Tigers, Alyvia Warner was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (55.29 seconds) with teammate Alexxus Bolin placing 14th (1:01.38) in the event, while Madison Jones was fourth (17:31.11) and Jacilynn Young was sixth (17:40.6) in the 3,200-meter run.
Paris Campbell was sixth (6:36.12), Xhayla Mosby was 14th (7:07.51) and Rileigh Ford was 17th (8:07.06) in the 1,600-meter run.
Warner was 10th (20.04 seconds) and Bolin was 13th (21.27) in the 100-meter hurdles, while Keeley Poindexter was 10th in the shot put (59-10).
Jhaselyn Gonzalez was 11th (12-11), Kaitlin Clark was 14th (10-7) and Ford was 16th (8-11) in the high jump, while Clark was 13th (15.29 seconds), Gonzalez was 14th (15.37) and Polina Lukasa was 29th (21.89) in the 100-meter run.
Clark was 15th (32.03 seconds), Gracie Thompson was 21st (33.79) and Hayley Hensley was 27th (36.66) in the 200-meter dash, while Cambree Bair was 18th (3:12.45), Scarlett Harrison was 20th (3:13.99) and Ryleigh Pierce was 21st (3:14.25) in the 800-meter run.
Pierce was 20th (1:18.82), Harrison was 22nd (1:19.4) and Payton Haneberg was 25th (1:43.6) in the 400-meter dash.
The Lady Tigers placed in all four relay events.
Warner, Kinly Lovell, Gonzalez and Poindexter were fourth in the 400-meter relay (54.32 seconds), while Warner, Thompson, Bair and Campbell were fourth in the 1,600-meter relay (4:51.43). Lovell, Campbell, Thompson and Bair were fifth in the 800-meter relay (2:02.14), while Campbell, Thompson, Pierce and Bair were sixth in the 3,200-meter relay (11:49.87).
The Tigers and Lady Tigers were to have participated in the Okemah Invitational on Friday, but it was rained out.
