Roland, Muldrow basketball players make 2024-25 All-NOAA Conference Teams

Several Roland and Muldrow basketball players were named to the 2024-25 All-NOAA Conference Teams.

On the boys’ side, Damonte Owens was named the Most Valuable Player, while Muldrow’s Teaguen Collins shared the Offensive Player of the Year with Stilwell’s Brayton Carter.

Roland Runnin’ Rangers coach Eddie Lewis, who hit the 800 coaching wins plateau during the Class 3A playoffs, was named the NOAA Conference Coach of the Year as the Runnin’ Rangers went undefeated in conference play at 10-0. The Runnin’ Rangers made the Class 3A State Tournament for the second time in three seasons and the sixth time in 11 years.

Making the first-team all-conference for Roland were Owens and Kade Shook, while Collins and Jesse Kilinc did so for Muldrow.

Roland’s Mason Kemp made the second-team all-conference, while Roland’s Buck Triplett and Muldrow’s Parker Sevenstar did so for Muldrow.

Roland’s Landon Fowler, Cason Perryman and Raesean Perryman and Muldrow’s Jaxson Anstine, D.J. Massey, Jermauree Palmer, DeShawn Willson and E.J. Zanders all made honorable mention all-conference.

On the girls’ side, Roland’s Ryanne Nelke was named the conference’s MVP, with Roland’s Haven Freeman, who eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for her career in the Class 3A District Tournament, being named the Offensive Player of the Year. Roland’s Halle Freeman was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year with Sallisaw’s Emma Martin, while Muldrow’s Kilah Ellingberg was named the Newcomer of the Year.

Roland Lady Rangers coach Scott Nelke was named the NOAA Conference Coach of the Year, as like their male counterparts, also went 10-0 in conference play. The Lady Rangers made it to the state tournament for the second straight season.

Roland players making the firstteam all-conference were Nelke, Haven Freeman and Halle Freeman, while Kilah Ellingberg, Maysi Fields and Kayla Ellingberg also made it.

Making the second-team all-conference were Roland’s Molly Carver and Muldrow’s London Hardin.

Roland’s Lilly Cole and Muldrow’s Jensi Fields were named to the thirdteam all-conference.

Roland’s Julianna Trujillo and Muldrow’s Chloee Clark, Danice Tune and Emmalee Short all made the all-conference team as honorable mentions.
