FORT SMITH, Ark. — Former Muldrow Lady Bulldog basketball player Hannah Boyett and her University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions suffered a pair of home Mid-American Intercollegiate Association (MIAA) home losses last week at Stubblefield Center.
The Lady Lions lost 103-96 in double overtime to Missouri Southern on Thursday night and fell 92-87 in OT to Pittsburg (Kan.) State.
In the loss to Missouri Southern, Boyett scored 10 points, grabbed a rebound, had three assists and a steal.
In the loss to Pittsburg State, Boyett had seven points and an assist.
Boyett, who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July, and the Lions (13-7 overall, 7-4 in MIAA play) will return to action at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with a road game at Nebraska-Kearney and a 2 p.m. Saturday road contest at Fort Hays (Kan.) State University.
