Roland boys win NEO Tournament, Lady Rangers second

MIAMI — The Roland Runnin’ Rangers won the 2025 Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Tournament on Saturday night.

The Runnin’ Rangers went through the round-robin gold bracket undefeated at 3-0 after routing Fayetteville (Ark.) Christian 95-40 on Thursday night, doing likewise to the Miami Wardogs by a score of 87-44 on Friday and defeating the Claremore Zebras 6243 on Saturday.

The Lady Rangers came in second in the gold round-robin bracket, opening with a 59-43 win over Hillcrest on Thursday and a 5723 rout of Claremore on Friday before losing 3531 to Aurora, Mo., on Saturday.

In the boys’ win over Fayetteville Christian, Raesean Perryman led the Runnin’ Rangers (14-1) with a gamehigh 23 points, followed by Kade Shook with 17 points, Damonte Owens with 16 points, Mason Kemp with 10 points, Buck Triplett, Kayden Hartt and Paul Johnson with seven points each and Cason Perryman and Landon Fowler with four points apiece.

In the boys’ victory over Miami, Owens scored 21 points to pace Roland, followed by Triplett with 17 points, Shook with 16 points, Kemp with 12 points, Hartt with 10 points, Raesean Perryman with five points, Fowler with four points and Johnson with two points.

In the boys’ win over Claremore, Kemp scored a game-high 23 points for Roland, followed by Shook with 15 points, Owens with 12 points, Hartt with six points and Triplett, Johnson and Raesean Perryman with two points apiece.

In the girls’ win over Claremore, Ryanne Nelke scored 30 points to lead the Lady Rangers (11-4), followed by Haven Freeman and Molly Carver with seven points each, Halle Freeman with five points, Arianna Moya with three points, Julianna Trujillo and Lilly Cole each with two points and Danica Sevenstar with a free throw.

No more information about the Roland girls’ victory over Hillcrest and loss to Aurora by press time.
