EMPORIA, Kan. — Former Muldrow Bulldog and current Emporia State University football team wide receiver Trenden Collins was named as one of eight Hornets to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Collins has a 3.6 grade-point average in computer science and was named to the All-MIAA Football Team’s third team as a receiver. The sophomore was third in the MIAA with 76 receptions on the year while finishing sixth with 791 receiving yards.

To be nominated, studentathletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution’s games/ contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
