Brushy Wrestling Club members do well in own holiday tournament

Several Brushy Wrestling Club members did well in their own Brushy Christmas Brawl, which took place Dec. 28.

Liliana Guerrero placed twice, winning the girls age 8-andyounger 58-pound championship and placing fourth in the open age 8-and-younger division at 58 pounds.

William Harrison (37 pounds, age 6-andyounger division), Tristan Price (55, age 10-and-younger), Dominick Guerrero (73, open age 10-and-younger division), Rylan Henry (80, open age 10-andyounger division), Cooper Price (80-86, age 15-and-younger division), Hayley Bentley (126, girls age 12-andyounger division), Gipsee Reed (135-150, girls age 12-and-younger division) and Rocklyn Johnson (110, girls age 15-and-younger division) all took home gold medals as champions. Reed also lost her two 138-pound matches in the girls age 15-andyounger division.

Preston Cross (60 pounds) and Grant Mc-Inerney (40 pounds) finished fourth in the age 6-and-younger division, while Layten Cross was fourth at 110 pounds in the age 12-and-younger division.

Colton Cross (43 pounds) went 2-2, while Omega Brown and Zion Brown (55), Kiran Brown (46) and Kruz Means (60) did not pick up wins in their matches.

Silas Grason went 2-2 at heavyweight, while Kutter Means went 1-1 at 64-75 pounds in the open age 8-and-younger division.

Avis Lamp went 1-1 in the girls age 10-andyounger division, while losing both of her matches in the open age 10-and-younger division at 67 pounds. Carson Limore lost both matches at 76 pounds in the open age 10-andyounger division.

In the age 12-andyounger division, Tristen Cross went 1-1 at 92 pounds, while Bryir Jenkins (84 pounds), Jaxston Cottrell (130) and Patrick Fletcher (73-80) lost all their matches. Lipton Means also lost both his matches at 140 pounds in the age 15-and-younger division.

Loxleigh Brown went 1-3 at 46-53 pounds, while Emma Carter lost all four of her matches at 46-52 pounds in the girls age 6-and-younger division.

In the girls age 8-andyounger division, Ruby Johnson (75-84 pounds) and Jessie Bentley (9096 pounds) split their two matches, while Kylie McInerney (58) and Reagan Cupit (90-96) lost their matches.

McKinley Cantrell (105-170 pounds, girls age 10-and-younger division) and Sunni Grayson (200, girls age 12-and-younger division) each went 1-1, while Rebel Bentley lost her three matches at 126 pounds in the girls age 15-and-younger division.
