Broadway Joe’s hosting free annual Thanksgiving meal
Carry out meals will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
By AMIE CATO-REMER EDITOR,

For 24 years Broadway Joe’s cafe in Muldrow has hosted a free annual Thanksgiving meal in honor of their matriarch, the late Pauline Morgan.

Cafe owners Joe and Marina Morgan are keeping Pauline’s tradition alive by hosting the event again this year, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until they run out of food) on Thanksgiving Day.

The couple said Pauline always fed the hungry, and gave with love and heartfelt compassion, caring for her fellow man. So, in her memory, they will offer a free meal to anyone who wants or needs it. Meals will be carry out only.

While donations are not expected, they will be accepted and appreciated, and will go towards helping families in the community have a better Christmas. A donation jar will be set up inside the cafe for those wishing to make a monetary donation.

“Happy Thanksgiving from us, our family and friends, and cafe staff,” the couple said. “We welcome our customers, strangers, and all who are donating to help make this meal possible. God bless you all for taking part in our mission.”
