Roland Lady Ranger second at Checotah meet

CHECOTAH — Roland’s Molly Carver was second at the 2024 Checotah Crossroads Cross Country Meet, which took place Oct. 8.

In the high school girls two-mile race, Carver was second (13:54).

Muldrow’s Genna Stephenson made the top 20 as she was 19th (14:56).

In the team standings, the Lady Bulldogs were ninth (205 points), followed by the Lady Rangers in 10th place (217) and the Central Lady Tigers in 12th place (271).

As for other Lady Bulldogs, Emma Fields was 27th (15:13), Isabelle Rogers was 56th (16:26), Noa Coleman was 85th (17:43) and Maysi Fields was 103rd (18:53).

As for other Lady Rangers, Cadence Cole was 60th (16:28), Landyn Ramey was 71st (16:56), Anistyn Howard was 86th (17:48), Abby Bower was 89th (17:49), Mira Reagan was 123rd (20:44), Eirka Raney was 129th (21:10) and Kierstan Kirkpatrick was 138th (24:15).

Central’s Cambree Bair had the fastest time for the Lady Tigers as she was 25th (15:10). Xhayla Mosby was 65th (16:39), Jacilynn Young was 83rd (17:39), Rileigh Ford was 94th (18:07) and Gracie Thompson was 135th (22:57).

In the high school boys’ 5k race, two other local boys made the top 20 as Roland’s Landon Killer was 13th (19:33) and Muldrow’s Kendal Howell was 17th (19:44).

Roland’s Josh Bower just missed the top 20 as he was 21st (20:02).

The only boys complete team to run was the ’Dogs, who finished 10th with 259 points.

As for other Bulldogs, Jesse Kilinc was 33rd (20:40), Kaden Rye was 55th (21:31), Jaxson Anstine was 110th (23:47), Seth Nance was 138th (26:07), Brady Boshers was 148th (27:03), Jack Pyeatt was 161st (28:34) and Parker Sevenstar was 174th (34:22).

The Rangers had one more runner compete as Hunter Lowe was 118th (24:19).

The Central Lady Tigers tied the Keys Lady Cougars for second place with 92 points in the junior high girls race.

Two Lady Tigers made the top 10 as Sara Williams was fourth (6:57) and Sadie Huff was seventh (7:17).

As for other Lady Tigers, Olivia Blalock was 44th (8:22), Shelby Jones was 45th (8:22), Graye Riggs was 49th (8:29) and Sailor Bauer was 53rd (8:36).

Two Roland Lady Rangers ran the course as Baylee Serjeant was 40th (8:18) and Jaida Washington was 47th (8:26).

The Roland Rangers were fourth in the junior high boys division with 149 points.

The Rangers were led by Dylan Lowe, who was ninth (6:50) to earn him a medal. Andrew Escobar was 29th (7:12), Novion Reagan was 32nd (7:13), Tommy Greschke was 49th (7:27), Jerry Crossno was 76th (7:56) and Rayen Tally was 91st (8:10).

One other local JH boys runner was Central’s Wyatt Parker, who placed 86th (8:04).

Tuesday’s meet ended the regular season for the local high school runners, who now will be idle until their respective regional meets on Oct. 26.
