Funeral services for Timothy Washburn Laney, 84, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow.
Burial followed at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Laney was born on Feb. 10, 1940, in Calexico, Calif., to Joyce Lahoma (Lee) Laney and Ira Paul Laney. He died on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He was married to Shirley Free on Nov. 15, 1962, in Muldrow.
He was a Supervisor with Baldor Electric Company for over 40 years and was a member of Muldrow First Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding horses, camping and watching his grandkids in their endeavors.
Survivors are wife, Shirley Laney of the home; two daughters, Kim Daniel and Shannon of Roland and Lana Tate and Allen of Muldrow; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, June McCullon of Burnt Cabin and Regina Morgan of Muldrow; one brother, Paul “Cookie” Laney and Claudine of Buckhorn; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Timothy Colton Daniel, Caleb Daniel, Cameron Daniel, Joe Peña, Tre Locust and Jim Daugherty.
Honorary pallbearers were Roger Sharp, Rick Sharp, Edwin Ogdon, Ted Stamps, Ethard Smith, Junior Henry, James Treat, Clifford Davis, Jim Miller, Jerald Blaylock, Jargo Jones, Larry Dyer, Monroe Lowrimore, Jessie Bukula and the staff of Select Specialty Hospital.
