A woman with addresses in both Muldrow and Sallisaw has been charged with detaining a female in house of prostitution after she allegedly had two individuals engage in sexual activity with another, in exchange for marijuana and cash.

Brittany Nance, 26, was formally charged on July 9 in Sequoyah County District Court and a warrant was issued for her arrest the same day. Following a July 17 arraignment, she is now scheduled to appear for an August 28 felony disposition docket before Associate District Judge Kyle Waters.

Sequoyah County Sheriff ’s deputy Mark Choate reported he was dispatched to Steve Owens Road in Gore regarding a juvenile that was allegedly sexually assaulted.

The juvenile told Choate “we were pimped out,” and that Nance had allegedly contacted a male to bring “weed and money” in exchange for sexual acts with the minor and the other individual.

Choate contacted Nance and she agreed to come to the Sheriff ’s Office for an interview, but after speaking with investigators, she changed her mind and the interview was ended.

During a forensics interview with the juvenile, the juvenile told authorities they were living with Nance and Nance’s boyfriend, and that Nance originally planned to have sexual relations with the male herself until her boyfriend became mad, according to the affidavit.

When Nance allegedly set up the meeting, the juvenile thought Nance was joking but the male agreed to meet with the juvenile and another individual in Gore for the alleged transaction.

At the residence, the male allegedly engaged in sexual acts with the two and Nance, according to the affidavit.

The two then reached out for help and police were called to the residence. The minor also was able to obtain the marijuana, marijuana gummies and $100 cash, and turn it over to deputies as evidence.

Following an investigation, the male was identified as Jonathan H. Sidler, 27, of Fort Smith, Ark. Court records show Sidler was charged with one felony count of distribution of controlled dangerous substance, including possession with intent to distribute and one criminal misdemeanor count of procuring of prostitute.

He entered a not guilty plea to his charges and was given a $10,000 bond. He is now scheduled to appear for an Aug. 28 arraignment in Sequoyah County District Court.
