Funeral services for Cathy Mayo Chronister, 68, of Roland, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow. Burial was at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chronister was born on Jan. 10, 1956, to Nell Joe (Millican) Mayo and Billie Gean Mayo. She died on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Poteau.

She was a babysitter and of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include two sons, Robert Chronister and Rickey Dale Chronister, both of Boynton Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; three siblings, Freddie Mayo of Fort Smith, Ark., Pedro Mayo of Detroit and Sherry Rowe of Naples, Fla.; daughter-inlaw, Tanya Long Chronister of Muldrow; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Michael Chronister; and two brothers, Robert Mize and Andy Mayo.

Pallbearers were Rickey Dale Chronister, Robert Chronister, Darren Daniel, Kyler Mattox, Billy Mayo and Prentiss Peters.
