Funeral services for Fern Henson, 89, of Roland, were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at Liberty Assembly of God Church in Liberty.
Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Henson was born on Nov. 22, 1934, in Sallisaw, to Delia Mae (Ballinger) O’Neal and Arthur James O’Neal. She died on Friday, July 26, 2024 in Roland.
She was a retail clerk and of the Pentecostal faith. She loved to go to church, sing and read the Bible. She was a good cook and enjoyed homemaking.
Survivors are two daughters, Judy Garner and Rick of Mountain Home, Ark., and Donna Waldrop and Steven of Van Buren, Ark.; two sons, Tommy Weaver of Roland and Timothy Henson and Cindy of Yukon; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Charlotte Ollar of North Carolina, Joyce Burcham of Roland and Farrell Johnson of Fort Smith, Ark.; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sharon Steen; one brother, Arnold O’Neal; and one grandson, Harold Rogers, Jr.
