A Muldrow woman perished last Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident about three miles east of Sallisaw.
Janet Needham, 66, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected when the 2012 Ram 3500 she was driving collided with a 2016 Ram 2500 driven by James Pezehouse, 54, of Warner, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.
The collision occurred shortly after 2 p.m. at the intersection of East 1070 Road and South 4670 Road.
Neither Pezehouse nor his passenger, Richard Head, 56, of Checotah, were injured.
Needham was transported by Pafford EMS to Northeastern Health System Sequoyah where attending physicians pronounced her deceased.
Although both vehicles were equipped with airbags, OHP reports that they did not deploy.
The investigation continues as to what caused the accident.
