Funeral services for Reba Littlejohn Green, 99, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw. Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Green was born on Feb. 5, 1925, in Sallisaw, to Winnie Ruth (Palmer-Lake) Littlejohn and William James Littlejohn. She passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in Sallisaw.
She was married to Gilbert Faulkner Green on March 30, 1945, in Amarillo, Texas. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2020.
She worked at Camp Roberts Army Base in California during World War II. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics and Business Education in 1950 and her Master’s Degree in Business in 1955 from NSU in Tahlequah. She taught business courses at Sallisaw High School for 15 years. After her teaching career, she focused on Christian activities, education, charities, and community.
Survivors are one son, Philip Marion Green of Sallisaw; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Patsy Shaffer of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, James Littlejohn of Sacramento, Calif.; and several other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Ruth Bass; her parents; and one brother, Charles Littlejohn.
Pallbearers were Mark Green, Dr. Mike Mitchell, Dr. Sinclair Armstrong, Loyd Bradley Myers, Bill Wilson and Jerry Don Kibbe.
