Roland baseball player makes All-State Team

Roland Rangers pitching ace Carson Wiggins was named to the 2024 Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Middle School East Team.

Wiggins, a University of Arkansas signee, went 3-2 this season with 93 strikeouts this season. When he pitched at home, which he mostly did, there were several Major League Baseball scouts in attendance with radar guns. In fact, in his pitching debate this season on March 12 at home vs. Spiro, 28 MLB scouts were in attendance.

Wiggins will be joined on the team by Sallisaw’s Brock Streun, who signed with Crowder College in Neosho, Mo., on Thursday afternoon.

The 2024 Middle School All-State Baseball Game will take place at 1 p.m. June 2 at Enid’s David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
