Roland, Central track athletes place at Checotah meet

CHECOTAH — The Roland and Central high school track teams saw members place in Thursday’s Checotah Wildcat Track Classic at Ogle Field.

As for the Roland Lady Rangers, Haven Freeman was third (13.73 seconds) and Mira Reagan was ninth (14.18) in the 100-meter dash, Brooklyn Hallbauer was sixth (30.39) and Kalee Campbell was 31st (34.24) in the 200-meter dash, Julianna Trujillo was sixth (27-11) and Danielle McElhaney was eighth (27-4) in the shot put, Maddie Whisenhunt was 25th (1:20.73) and Anna McElhaney was 26th (1:22.2) in the 400-meter dash and Abby Bower was 26th in the 800-meter run (3:19.61).

As for Roland girls’ relays, the 400-meter relay team of Reagan, Hallbauer, Halle Freeman and Haven Freeman was runner-up (53.35 seconds), while the same quartet was fourth in the 800-meter relay (1:55.67).

As for the Roland Rangers, Dalton Crossno was second (45-7) and Logen Thomas fourth (38-8) in the shot put, while the Rangers had a 3-4-5 finish in the discus as Joseph Stone was third (119-8), Tyson Williams was fourth (111-2) and Braxton Prewett was fifth (110-7). Uriah Phillips was third in the long jump (19-2), Paul Johnson was fourth (24.64 seconds), Trevor Lasiter fifth (25.05) and Phillips 11th (25.83) in the 200-meter dash, Landon Killer was fourth (5:09.45) and Kyle Bradley 16th (6:34) in the 1,600-meter run, Killer was fifth (2:15.91) and Bradley 29th (2:47.17) in the 800-meter run, Paul Johnson was fifth (11.74), Lasiter 10th (12.15) and Jack Johnson 18th (12.57) in the 100-meter dash, Billy McElhaney was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles (20.53) and 10th in the 300-meter hurdles (52.11), Josh Bower was 17th (1:00.59) and Jack Johnson 18th (1:00.88) in the 400-meter dash.

The Rangers’ 400-meter relay team of Lateevis Jones, Lasiter, Phillips and Paul Johnson was fifth (46.27 seconds), while the same foursome placed sixth in the 800-meter relay (1:40.46).

For the Central Lady Tigers, Koda Robbins was second (1:04.64), Paris Campbell sixth (1:07.67), Kinly Lovell 19th (1:15.5) and Xhayla Mosby 28th (1:26.5) in the 400-meter dash, Jhaselyn Gonzalez was seventh (20.71 seconds) and Alyvia Warner eighth (20.9) in the 100-meter hurdles, Ayrland Jiles was 10th in the long jump (13-1.5), Ryleigh Pierce was 11th (7:19.75) and Rileigh Ford 14th (7:34.35) in the 1,600-meter run, Keeley Poindexter was 14th in the 200-meter dash (31.69), Jiles was 16th (14.93), Lovell 17th (14.97), Nevaeh Pollard 35th (16.28) and Polina Lukasa 48th (21.73) in the 100-meter dash and Cambree Bair was 17th (3:07.46) and Gracie Thompson 19th (3:10.57) in the 800-meter run.

The Central girls placed in all four relay events, with two of them finishing fourth.

Thompson, Bair, Campbell and Avery Warner were fourth in the 3,200-meter relay (11:38.03), while the 1,600-meter relay team of Robbins, Avery Warner, Alyvia Warner and Campbell was fourth (4:37.25).

Bair, Jiles, Avery Warner and Thompson were fifth in the 400-meter relay (56.29 seconds), while Campbell, Robbins and both Warners were sixth in the 800-meter relay (1:57.12).

As for the Central Tigers, Braxin Goodson was runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles (44.34 seconds), Gavin Randolph was third (55.04) and Brycen Chandler-Eisman was 33rd (1:06.23) in the 400-meter dash, Zachary Comer was seventh in the discus (109-3), Nathan Vann was eighth (12.1), Dillon Miller 28th (12.87) and Josh Marino 34th (13.17) in the 100-meter dash, Vann was ninth (25.53) and Chandler-Eisman 31st (29.91) in the 200-meter dash and Vann was 30th in the 800-meter run (2:48.17).

As for relays for the Tigers, the 800-meter relay quartet of Goodson, Vann, Randolph and Joseph Lee was fourth (1:38.27), while Goodson, Randolph, Lee and Miller were fifth in the 1,600-meter relay (3:43.59).
