Belfonte – Funeral services for Calvin Eagle, 55, of Belfonte, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, at Belfonte Baptist Church. Burial was at Belfonte Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Eagle was born on Nov. 25, 1967, in Tahlequah to Bird Eagle and Yvonne (Coleman) Eagle. He died on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He was a Cherokee Fire Dancer in Tahlequah for 11 years, was in the Forestry Division in Sallisaw for three years, and a volunteer firefighter for the Nicut Fire Department.
Survivors include his mother, of the home; one sister Ramona Eagle of the home; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; two sisters, Valerie and Joyce; and one brother, Larry.
Pallbearers were Dillon, Cody, Randy, Don Paul Mathews, John Flies and Lee Eagle.
