Muldrow – Funeral services for Jim Short, 62, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow. Burial followed at Dora Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mr. Short was born on Sept. 17, 1960, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Kathy Colleen (Dunkin) Short and Carlos James Short. He died on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023 in Oklahoma City.

He was married to Robbie Short on Aug. 16, 1980, in Muldrow.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting in any form. He taught his boys to love the outdoors and spent as much time as he could teaching them. He was a well-known plumber for over 44 years.

Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Robbie of the home; son, Bradley Short of Muldrow; one granddaughter; mother, Colleen Short of Fort Smith; sister, Sherry Jones and Steve of Fort Smith; two brothers, Steve Short and Cindy of Nicut and Greg Short and Mary of Muldrow; father-in-law, Robert Anderson of Blue Mouse; brother-in-law, Truman Anderson and Karen of Dora; and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Jacob Bryan Short; and mother-in-law, Leona Anderson.

Pallbearers were Cody Hyde, Brandon Short, Avery Short, Beau Short, Chris Short, Chris Jones, Truman Anderson and Nick Anderson.
