Florence Esther Hodgeman ‘Esther’ Stevenson

Nov. 28, 1953 – July 16, 2023

Celebration of Life services for Florence Esther Hodgeman ‘Esther’ Stevenson, 69, were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Maple Free Will Baptist in Muldrow, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Mrs. Stevenson was born on Nov. 28, 1953, to Herbert William Hodgeman and Florence Alice (Wunsch) Hodgeman. She died Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Muldrow.

She graduated from San Bernardino Valley College and had a 20 year long career with the school district in San Bernardino as a cafeteria manager. She attended Maple Free Will Baptist.

Survivors are her husband of 46 years, Robert M. Stevenson; siblings, Sandra Christine (Hodgeman) Silva, Brenda Louise (Hodgeman) Laplante, Herbert Byron Hodgeman and Matthew William Lawson Hodgeman; children, Lisa (Ormonde) Falcone and Robert Shannon Stevenson; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Rebecca June (Hodgeman) Stanley and Linda Joy (Hodgeman) Pombo.
