Jackie Lee ‘Jack’ Williams

June 6, 1948 – June 24, 2023

Roland – Funeral service for Jackie Lee “Jack” Williams, 75, of Roland were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Muldrow. Burial followed at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mr. Williams was born on June 6, 1948, in Thermopolis, Wyo. to Jack Turner and Virginia Elizabeth Williams. He died on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Roland.

He graduated from Roland High School, served many years as a deacon at Muldrow First Baptist Church, and was dedicated to his profession and founded Sequoyah Electrical Supply Company. He was an entrepreneur inventing a dual-source power pole that was bought by Sam Walton and used in all Walmart stores.

He was married to Kathy Speir on Dec. 18, 1967. Survivors are his wife, Kathy of the home; children, Lori Wiggins and Darrell and Chad Williams and Tonya, all of Roland; many grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Fran Whisitt of Roland; sisters-in-law, Mary Williams of Salado, Texas, Zenda Dodson and Stan of Greenwood, Ark. and Teresa Speir of Muskogee; brothers-in-law, Richard Elkins of Lafayette, La., Pat Meyers of Fort Smith and Bob Speir and Jackie of Waveland Park, Ark.; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Sonny and Patty Lee Speir; sisters, Mary Jane Elkins of Lafayette and Rosemary Meyers of Fort Smith; brothers, Clayton Williams and wife Christine of Roland, and Ret. Col. W.G. Williams of Salado; and brothers-in-law, Jim Speir of Wagoner and Rick Rutherford of Roland.

Pallbearers were Jody Fincher, Ryan Meyers, Camryn Hull, Scott Speir, Eric Speir and Corey Fincher.

Honorary pallbearers were Marc Williams, Paul Williams, Lou Young, Dennis R. Young, Gary Williams, Michael Webb, Kevin Flurry, Mark Falleur and Monte Thompson.
