Muldrow – Funeral services for Donna Gail (Fargo) Cannon, 85, of Muldrow, were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow. Burial followed at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Cannon was born on Feb. 11, 1938, in Muldrow to Nora (Moton) Treat and Calvin Wells Fargo. She passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She was married to Claude Cannon on Aug. 12, 1988, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2021.
She was a retired educator for Muldrow Public Schools and a member of Trinity Methodist Church. She was an avid advanced square dancer, a member of the Kozy Quilters and a Red Hatter.
Survivors are her children, Gwendolyn R. Goodwin of Muldrow, Jimmy D. Crosslin and Sharron of Okmulgee, Paula G. Brown and Ron of Muldrow, Brenda S. Hice and Danny of Muldrow, Calvin G. Crosslin of Muldrow and Ronald G. Crosslin of Muldrow; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Matthew Crosslin; her parents; and one brother, C.B. Fargo.
Active pallbearers were Dakota Caplena, Christopher Caplena, Donnie Ray Sharp and Hayden McKinster.
