Sequoyah County Sheriff Larry Lane Jr. said his office and the Roland Police Department teamed up on Thursday to execute a narcotic search warrant at a Roland residence.
The Sheriff said following a lengthy investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs by Investigators Chris Grizzle and Dwayne Frizzell, they were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence, which is located near the intersections of PawPaw Road and Mayfield street.
“Upon execution of this search warrant, they recovered nearly a pound of methamphetamine and a large amount of LSD “blotter sheets,”” Lane said.
Christopher Amundson, 37, of Roland has been arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking controlled dangerous substance (meth), aggravated trafficking of LSD and possession of marijuana. He is being held on a $60,000 bond.
“This is by far the most LSD we have seen,” Lane said. “There were well over 2,000 dosage units of LSD, which was on cardboard sheets and colored like cartoon characters, therefore making it very attractive to young kids.”
Lane said If a child simply touches one of these cards, the LSD could be ingested through their skin.
Lane said this investigation is far from over and there may be more search warrants and arrests made in the near future.
